Chandler Automated Design was founded in 1988 by Robert Chandler as a high quality, low cost source for Printed Circuit Design, Training, Fabrication, and Project Management. Working as a virtual corporation, CA Design can bring a team of talented professionals to your design problems.

CA Design specializes in various software platforms: Cadence® OrCAD®, Mentor Board Station, Cadence® Allegro® PCB Editor, PADS Power PCB, Protel, PCAD, Cadstar, and Mentor Expedition software. Working either from your office - your hardware, or from our office - our hardware, CA Design provides you with design databases to meet your specifications.

CA Design brings a unique perspective to the customer/service bureau relationship. Bob Chandler has worked on both sides of the fence, and understands the value of a good service bureau. Working as Manager of Contracted Services for TRW Sunnyvale, Bob developed a working model for controlling and integrating Design Service companies into the TRW design process. Bob received his Masters Degree in Operations Management from San Jose University in 1996 after completing his Masters Thesis on Printed Circuit Design Service Centers. CA Design is structured to comprehensively encompass the entire design and manufacturing process. We work with you to ensure a design that meets all of your requirements, including documentation, production, assembly and test.

CA Design employs only the best designers. We have no junior designers on staff. All of our designers have at least 5 years in the industry, and experience on at least two software platforms. Our designers are trained in a variety of disciplines. We can do large digital boards, small analog boards, ECL, RF, High Speed, Surface mount, Chip on board, and Micro-via designs. All designs done at the CA Design facility are sent through a rigid review process across the design flow before coming back to you, the customer.

CA Design also offers training in Mentor Board Station and Cadence® OrCAD® Software. We will come to your facility to train and will customize training to your requirements. You can choose from extensive, comprehensive training, or concise, advanced training.
